Sleep Disorders Center

Do you snore loudly?  Do you stop breathing or gasp for your breath while sleeping?  Do you have high blood pressure, morning headaches or heartburn?  Have you fallen asleep while driving?  Are your legs active at night?  Are you sleepy during the day?  If you have any of these symptoms, you should talk with your provider about a sleep study.

There are more than 80 types of sleep disorders that can significantly affect healthy sleep – and this, in turn, impacts your overall health, safety and quality of life.

Untreated sleep disorders have been linked to hypertension, heart disease, stroke, depression, diabetes and other chronic diseases. Sleep problems can take many forms and can involve too little sleep, too much sleep or inadequate quality of sleep. These disorders are treatable with a diagnosis from a Sleep Study.

The Greenville Sleep Center at Regional Medical Center of Central Alabama performs sleep studies for adults. Sleep Studies at the Sleep Center take place in comfortable, home-like rooms.

A sleep study will monitor and analyze sleep stages through:
•    Brain waves
•    Muscle movements
•    Eye movements
•    Oxygen saturation
•    Heart rate
•    Respiratory effort
•    Nasal flow and snoring

The Greenville Sleep Center is accredited by the AASM (American Academy of Sleep Medicine) and it offers:
•    Prompt scheduling
•    Board Certified Sleep Physician
•    Specially Trained Technicians
•    WiFi Capability
